Early Bird Program

Early Bird is a voluntary extension of the school day available to all students. The Early Bird Program serves those parents/guardians who must drop off their child before school begins. Students are supervised in a designated area. The supervisor of the Early Bird Program monitors the safety of the students in the program; however, no organized program of instruction is presented. Students are required to follow all school disciplinary rules during this time. The school reserves the right to exclude students from the Early Bird Program for disruptive behavior or other misconduct. There is no fee for Early Bird and students can be dropped off as early as 7:00 AM.

Failure to comply with traffic rules or school regulations approaching or entering/exiting our campus during Early Bird may lead to exclusion from the program.

Late Bird Program

Late Bird is a voluntary, fee-based extension of the school day for all students. It is available to all students and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:45 PM to 5:30 PM (regular school days). Students are not permitted to leave campus and return to Late Bird under any circumstances. Late Bird students are supervised in the school cafeteria. Students in Late Bird will be provided a quiet academic environment to complete homework and quietly socialize with friends in a structures, supervised environment.

Please send your child with snacks and a drink keeping in mind that there is no refrigeration or microwave available. Students are not permitted to leave campus to purchase food and return to Late Bird. Students are required to follow all school disciplinary rules during Late Bird. The school reserves the right to exclude students from the Late Bird Program for disruptive behavior or other misconduct. Failure to comply with traffic rules or school regulations approaching or entering/exiting our campus during Late Bird may lead to exclusion from the program (without refund).

All students attending the Late Bird Program between 2:45 PM and 5:30 PM are required to sign in using the Sign-In/Sign-Out Log kept by the Late Bird Program Supervisor.

At 3:15 PM, ALL students still waiting for pick-up will be escorted to the Late Bird Program. At this point your student is considered a “Drop-In” if there has not been a prepayment. The parent/guardian of “Drop-In” students must park in the lot and walk to the Late Bird entrance to sign their child out of Late Bird. A parent/guardian's signature constitutes an agreement to pay the Late Bird fee for the day. Any disputes must be noted at the time of sign out. These dismissal measures are extremely important for the safety of your children.

Fees

For students who are released at 2:45 PM, parents have until 3:15 PM to pick up their child with no charge. At 3:15 PM all students remaining on school grounds (not in class) will be escorted to the designated Late Bird area. Students are permitted to wait in Late Bird to attend their Extracurricular Activity, Student Hours, or Peer Tutoring free of charge. However, if these students return to Late Bird after the activity or study session, they will be charged a drop in fee, unless they have pre-paid.

For students who are released at 3:40 PM, parents have until 4:10 PM to pick up their child with no charge. At 4:10 PM all students remaining on school grounds will be escorted to the designated Late Bird area. All students, released at 3:40 PM attending the Late Bird Program between 4:10 PM and 5:30 PM are charged a Late Bird Fee regardless of the time spent in the program or the reason for being there (e.g. sent to Late Bird because their ride is late to pick them up).
